7 Surprising Ways You Can Use Coconut Oil

Many women swear by the many uses of Vaseline, and I myself used Vaseline for years. However, I switched over to Coconut Oil two years ago and have never looked back! There is a lot of debate and scrutiny pertaining to mineral oil and petrolatum in Vaseline, so I prefer to use Coconut Oil as it does not contain either.

Uses For Coconut Oil

1. Makeup Remover - I use coconut oil every single night to remove my eye makeup. It works better than anything I have ever used. I used to use Vaseline, but I felt that it blurred my eyesight afterwards because it stayed on my eyes even after I washed my face. I even read an article about how coconut oil saved Fashion Week. A Makeup Artist could not remove a model's makeup, and the only thing that worked was Coconut Oil!

2. Eyecream - After I wash my face, I reapply the coconut oil to my delicate eye area. It keeps it moist over night, and even helps my concealer to stay fresh by not creasing into my fine lines as much.

3. Dry Lips - A little coconut oil spread on my lips makes them so soft and hydrated!

4. Dry Areas - Coconut oil can remedy any dry skin on the body!

5. Cradle Cap in Babies - I use it on my newborn daughter's scalp as a safe and effective remedy for cradle cap.

6. Rub some into the palms of your hands and smooth over hair to get rid of frizz.

7. Cuticle Oil - I use this in place of cuticle oil ever since I ran out, and it works just as well!

These are just the uses that I personally use for coconut oil. There are plenty more!

Have you ever used coconut oil? What do you like to use it for?
